Job Description
The Operations Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment plant and pump station equipment, performing laboratory analyses, and responding to emergency situations to ensure efficient and compliant water treatment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment plant and remote pump station equipment
- Perform laboratory analysis and implement operational changes to treatment processes
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems of pumping equipment and control switches
- Respond to emergency or unpredicted operational situations
- Conduct distribution maintenance and meter reading as directed by the Project Manager
Requirements
- Must be able to perform all required laboratory analysis and make operational changes to treatment plants.
- Must possess solid mechanical repair skills while providing mechanical and basic electrical system troubleshooting and repair of pumping equipment and control switches.
- Must be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water plant and remote pump station equipment, including some distribution maintenance and meter reading, as directed by the Project Manager.
- Must be able to respond to emergency or unpredicted situations.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
