Job Description
The Wastewater Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment facility, ensuring compliance and efficient plant performance under the supervision of the Chief Operator.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations and maintenance of the wastewater treatment facility as directed by the Chief Operator
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and regulatory standards
- Respond to emergency events and alarm callouts as scheduled and required
- Maintain reliable and dependable attendance, including standby duty and on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Possess a Virginia Class 2 or Class 1 Wastewater Operator license.
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Wastewater Treatment Facility as directed by the Chief Operator.
- Maintain reliable and dependable attendance as an essential function of the position.
- Be available for standby duty and the ability to be on-call, working evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Respond to emergency events and alarm callouts as scheduled and required.

Work schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with availability for standby duty, on-call, evenings, weekends, and holidays
