Job Description
The Lead Operator is responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of multiple water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring efficient plant performance and regulatory compliance, while supporting professional growth and working outdoors to protect water resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Operate treatment plant equipment to ensure efficient plant performance
- Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
Requirements
- Participate in the daily operations and maintenance of five Water Treatment Facilities and two Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator.
- Regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Possess the ability to work outdoors protecting water resources.
- Hold a valid Water and Wastewater Operator license or certification recognized within the industry (implied by the need for license upgrading and maintenance, and company reimbursement for licenses).
- Have sufficient experience in water and wastewater treatment plant operations to perform the duties of a Lead Operator (implied minimum experience, typically 2 or more years, though not explicitly specified).
