Dual Licensed Water/Wastewater Operator

• Monitor water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, adjusting as necessary to control their operation. • Perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards. • Operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties. • Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintain all necessary records. • Assists field crew with water / sewer breaks, meter change outs, meter box replacements, valve exercising, and hydrant flushing. • Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties including meter reading, grounds maintenance, and preventative / corrective maintenance of various equipment at lift stations and treatment facilities.

• High School Degree or Equivalent. • Valid Florida Driver's License required. • Must possess a valid State of Florida Class "C" Drinking Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license. • A dual certification in Water and Wastewater will be an added benefit for qualifications. • The ability to acquire a Florida DOT Medical Card to drive a commercial vehicle. • Being able to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions, as well as following safety procedures.
