The Drinking Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of water treatment facilities, ensuring safe and efficient water treatment processes while supporting safety and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the daily operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment, structures, and grounds.
Assist with managing regulatory sampling programs in a timely and safe manner.
Help ensure a safe work environment for all plant personnel and visitors.
Requirements
Participate in the daily operation and general maintenance of equipment, structures, and grounds at the Town of Manchester-by-the-Sea s 3 MGD Trident Microfloc Surface Water Treatment Facility, two ground water wells, and 1.7 MG storage tank, including assisting with the management of all associated regulatory sampling programs in a safe and timely manner.
Report to the Projects Plant Manager and work as a full-time Secondary Operator at the Drinking Water Treatment Facilities.
Help foster and maintain a safe work environment for all plant personnel and visitors.
Possess the knowledge and skills to keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
Aid employees in earning, upgrading, and maintaining industry certifications related to drinking water treatment operations.

Work schedule: Full-time, includes observed holidays (up to 8 per year), vacation based on experience, sick leave, and parental leave (up to 80 hours)
