Job Description
The Battery Thermal Engineering Intern at Wisk will work on ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the propulsion battery for the Wisk Gen 6 aircraft, focusing on thermal management and containment strategies as part of the Energy Storage and Power Systems team during a 12-week hands-on internship program.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the Propulsion battery during all flight phases and abnormal events
- Contribute to thermal management and containment strategies for the battery system
- Assist in the development of specific products to meet thermal management requirements
Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA.
- You must be legally authorized to work in the US for the duration of the internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Must live in the US at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins.
- Must be either a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in college.
- Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0; transcripts are required.
- Must be an enrolled student at both the time of application AND at the time the internship begins.
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week for 12 weeks (full-time for 3 months).
