Job Description

The Production Manager oversees all manufacturing operations in an electronics factory, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and efficiency are met across SMT, PCBA, and Final Assembly processes while leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production activities across SMT, PCBA, and Final Assembly lines
  • Manage production schedules, manpower allocation, and material availability to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards
  • Supervise production teams to ensure adherence to work instructions, quality standards, and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process flow and minimize downtime
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve efficiency
  • Manage manpower planning, coaching, and performance evaluations for production staff
  • Support New Product Introduction activities including line setup and process validation
  • Prepare and analyze production performance reports, KPIs, and variance analyses for management

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of production management experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of SMT, PCBA, and Final Assembly processes and related equipment such as screen printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI, ICT, functional testers, auto screw pressing machine, and laser machine.
  • Proven ability to analyze and control labor usage variance and material usage variance to optimize cost performance.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, ERP, or SAP systems for production planning, material tracking, and reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of process optimization, yield improvement, and defect reduction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, and ESD control standards.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
