Job Description
The Robotics Intern will conduct pioneering research in Machine Learning for Robotics, focusing on Large Behavior Models and Trustworthy Learning under Uncertainty, using sensory data and simulation to solve open problems and test ideas in real-world robotic applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Propose, conduct, and transfer pioneering research in Machine Learning for Robotics.
- Utilize large sensory data and simulation to solve open problems.
- Work towards academic publications and test ideas in real-world robotic systems.
- Focus on areas such as Policy Evaluation, Failure Detection and Mitigation, and Active Learning for Large Behavior Models.
- Advance the development and deployment of Large Behavior Models in human environments with robustness and reliability.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or have recently completed such a program.
- Experience working with Machine Learning techniques such as Reinforcement Learning, Imitation Learning, Generative Modeling, or Uncertainty Estimation.
- Knowledge of and experience with large-scale sensory data processing and simulation environments.
- Familiarity with robotic manipulation and control systems.
- Ability to propose, conduct, and transfer pioneering research in Machine Learning for Robotics.
- Experience working towards publications at top academic venues is preferred (not mandatory but relevant).
- Availability to commit to a 12-week summer internship in 2026, starting in summer 2026.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid in-office role during the internship period.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate research findings effectively.
- Submission of a CV that includes a full list of publications and a link to Google Scholar (if applicable).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (if applicable, depending on location).
