Job Description
A Research Scientist specializing in computational cognitive science, responsible for developing advanced models of human cognition, behavior, and preferences using large language models and multimodal learning systems to support decision-making and product development processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of computational models of human cognition, behavior, and preferences using large language models and multimodal learning systems.
- Train and fine-tune large language models to emulate human decision-making patterns and predict individual preferences across various contexts.
- Incorporate physiological and brain imaging data into computational models of human cognition and behavior.
Requirements
- A highly motivated and talented individual with expertise in developing next-generation computational models of human cognition, behavior, and preferences.
- Experience in leveraging large language models (LLMs) and multimodal learning systems to develop computational models.
- Proficiency in training and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) to emulate human decision-making patterns and predict individual preferences across different contexts such as consumer behavior and product design.
- Experience in incorporating physiological and brain imaging data into computational models of human cognition and behavior.
- Educational background or equivalent experience in behavior science, machine learning, computational modeling, or related fields.
- Ability to lead the development of computational models that bridge behavior science, machine learning, and computational modeling disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of behavioral scientists, ML researchers, and human-computer interaction experts.
- Understanding of the ethical and privacy considerations related to handling personal data, including physiological and brain imaging data.
- Availability to work in California-based roles with an expected salary range between $176,000 and $264,000 at the start of employment, with pay varying based on individual factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
