Job Description

A Professional Mechanical Engineer role focused on designing, developing, and supporting industrial and building mechanical systems for transportation infrastructure projects, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop plans, studies, and detailed designs for industrial mechanical systems and building systems.
  • Create process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, and HVAC plumbing systems.
  • Support construction administration by interpreting plans, observing operations, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scope, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain quality standards.

Requirements

  • Possess a Professional Mechanical Engineer license or be eligible to obtain one in the state of Washington.
  • Have experience in developing plans, studies, and detailed designs for industrial mechanical systems and building systems, including creating process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment layouts, and HVAC plumbing systems.
  • Support construction administration activities, including interpreting plans, observing operations, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Partner directly with clients and internal teams to define project scope, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain quality standards.
  • Have the ability to work on a variety of projects such as fueling facilities, loading unloading systems, maintenance facilities, tank farms, pump houses, and railyard operations.
  • Meet the educational requirement of a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (implied by the professional engineer license requirement).
  • Be willing to undergo pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history.
