Job Description

The position involves leading site design for industrial rail facilities, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative infrastructure solutions, and growing project management and business development skills within a collaborative, employee-owned firm.

Key Responsibilities

Lead site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance buildings, fueling stations, and offices
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop innovative infrastructure solutions
Manage project tasks, timelines, and client communications to ensure successful project delivery
Mentor junior staff and support their professional development
Contribute to business development by cultivating client relationships and supporting proposal development

Requirements

Possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering or be eligible to obtain one in Minnesota.
Have experience in site design for industrial facilities such as railyards, maintenance and service buildings, locomotive fueling stations, and administrative offices.
Demonstrate the ability to lead site design projects for infrastructure related to Class I, short line, and passenger railroads.
Have the opportunity and willingness to grow project management skills, mentor junior staff, and contribute to business development efforts including cultivating client relationships and supporting proposal development.
Complete a standard pre-employment background screening, including Social Security verification, educational verification, review of criminal convictions, and driving history, upon acceptance of a formal offer.
