Job Description
A Senior Machine Learning Engineer responsible for developing and deploying AI and ML solutions that power personalized clinical care, including end-to-end treatment management systems and AI Care Specialists, to improve healthcare accessibility and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI and ML solutions for personalized clinical care.
- Design and build end-to-end AI treatment management systems covering assessment, intervention, and monitoring.
- Build and refine AI components such as prompt engineering, RAG implementations, and model fine-tuning.
- Create agentic workflows and integrate generative AI and classical machine learning techniques based on project needs.
- Contribute to improving digital healthcare quality and accessibility through AI innovations.
Requirements
- Candidates must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal.
- Experience in developing AI and ML solutions, including end-to-end AI treatment management systems that handle complete care pathways from initial assessment through intervention selection and progress monitoring.
- Proficiency in prompt engineering, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementations, model fine-tuning, and agentic workflows.
- Ability to leverage both generative AI and classical machine learning depending on the problem requirements.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML development best practices and deployment in healthcare or similar domains.
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment with flexible working hours.
- Educational background in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related disciplines (implied but typically required for senior ML roles).
