Job Description
A Senior Cloud Security Engineer at Sword Health is responsible for safeguarding the company's cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, enhancing security controls, and supporting the secure expansion of their AI-driven healthcare platform in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect and secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP platforms.
- Strengthen preventative security controls within cloud environments.
- Improve detection and response capabilities for security incidents.
- Partner closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to implement security measures.
- Translate security risks into practical, business-aligned controls in a regulated environment.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in cloud security engineering or a similar role.
- Have strong technical depth in cloud security controls, detection, and response capabilities.
- Experience working hands-on across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ability to strengthen preventative security controls within cloud environments.
- Ability to improve detection and response capabilities in cloud infrastructure.
- Partner closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to implement security measures.
- Translate risk into practical, business-aligned security controls.
- Have sound security judgment in highly regulated environments such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal, as the position requires candidates to work from Portugal.
- Candidates must be able to work remotely and meet the physical location requirement of being based in Portugal.
