Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and integrating mechanical design elements for SunDrive's solar cell production systems, contributing to making solar technology more affordable and scalable through hands-on design, collaboration, and travel, particularly to China.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, improve, and integrate mechanical design elements of solar cell production systems
  • Own mechanical design aspects across R&D and manufacturing equipment
  • Collaborate with R&D teams, technical delivery teams, and partners in China
  • Travel to China to work closely with manufacturing partners

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical design, development, and improvement of solar cell production systems or related manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to own mechanical design elements across research and development (R D) and manufacturing equipment for solar cell production.
  • Proven experience in developing, improving, and integrating mechanical systems within a high-performance team environment.
  • Willingness to travel significantly to China to work closely with partners, indicating the need for flexibility and readiness for international travel.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including R D teams, technical delivery teams, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles relevant to solar cell manufacturing or similar industries.
  • Relevant educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (implied, as the role involves mechanical design and development).
