Job Description
The Senior Solar Asset Manager oversees the operational performance of a portfolio of commercial solar assets, analyzing system performance, managing work orders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal energy production and system uptime, while also supporting team development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze the operational performance of the solar asset portfolio
- Manage work orders and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure system uptime and optimal production
- Lead and support the development of junior team members within the Asset Management group
- Drive continuous improvement in portfolio performance, reporting, and internal processes
- Oversee the performance of distributed solar assets and address technical issues as needed
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation in solar asset management or related fields
- Excellent analytical skills for monitoring and analyzing system performance and trends
- Experience managing the performance of distributed solar assets
- Ability to monitor system performance, analyze trends, and manage work orders
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Operations and Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance
- Experience serving as a team lead or supporting the development of junior team members within an asset management group
- Ability to support continuous improvement across portfolio performance, reporting, and internal processes
- Willingness to take on increasing leadership responsibilities over time as the Asset Management function expands
