The Project Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of solar project development, including developing and monitoring cost forecasts, ensuring budget discipline, and providing financial visibility to support project execution and predictability.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee financial aspects of projects, including forecasted cost at completion (CAC/EAC) and budget integrity.
Partner with Project Managers to develop, validate, and monitor monthly cost forecasts.
Act as a financial control checkpoint to ensure disciplined adherence to budgets.
Provide structured cost visibility and enforce budget controls at the project level.
Improve financial predictability of projects through ongoing financial oversight.
Requirements
Experience in financial oversight at the project level, including ownership of forecasted cost at completion (CAC, EAC) and ensuring budget integrity across assigned projects.
Ability to partner directly with Project Managers (PMs) to develop, validate, and monitor cost forecasts on a monthly basis.
Experience acting as a financial control checkpoint to ensure disciplined budget adherence.
Strong understanding of structured cost visibility, budget controls, and improving project-level financial predictability.
Proficiency in developing and validating project cost forecasts and monitoring them regularly.
Experience working at the intersection of project execution and finance, providing structured cost visibility and enforcing budget controls.
