Job Description
An Applications Developer at Smart Energy is responsible for designing and building high-performance, user-friendly applications that advance renewable energy technology, leveraging agile methods and innovative frameworks to create impactful solutions for customers, teams, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance, industry-leading applications for energy management
- Collaborate using agile methods to develop seamless user experiences
- Utilize the latest frameworks and emerging technologies to create innovative solutions
- Contribute to the development of the digital infrastructure supporting customer, team, and partner operations
Requirements
- This role requires you to be on site from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, at the company's headquarters located in Byron Bay in the industrial estate.
- Experience in designing and building high-performance applications that are sleek and industry-leading.
- Proficiency in working at the intersection of renewable energy and emerging technology.
- Ability to use the latest frameworks and agile methods to turn ideas into seamless user experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in building digital backbones or core applications for energy or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of automation and human-centred design principles.
- Proven ability to develop technology that makes a difference for customers, teams, and the environment.
- Experience working in a dynamic, fast-growing startup environment with a growth trajectory of at least 115% growth in the past year.
- Ability to contribute to a team that values innovative thinking, strategic action, and open discussion.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing support and training programs.
- Ability to work in a team that fosters creativity and innovation, with a focus on making a substantial impact in the Australian energy sector.
