Job Description
The Senior Analyst will conduct competitive intelligence, techno-economic modeling, and strategic scenario planning to inform and support Sila's commercial and product strategies in the advanced battery materials sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the in-house expert on competitor technology, product roadmaps, GTM strategies, and pricing.
- Collect, validate, and maintain a centralized competitive knowledge base.
- Conduct techno-economic analyses on competitor materials and manufacturing processes to assess competitive advantage.
- Develop and execute strategic scenario analyses to anticipate competitor reactions and provide proactive recommendations.
- Translate competitive intelligence insights into actionable commercial tools such as sales battle cards and training materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or similar field is required; an advanced degree such as an MBA or MS is highly desirable.
- 3 to 6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a dedicated market competitive intelligence function, preferably within a deep-tech, industrial, or energy sector.
- Proven expertise and hands-on experience in Techno-Economic Modeling (TEA) and advanced market research methodologies.
- Exceptional proficiency in Excel modeling tools and presentation software.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as an expert individual contributor, working autonomously to structure and execute analysis, and presenting complex insights directly to senior executive stakeholders.
- Ability to independently structure complex research projects and deliver battle-card-ready insights.
- Ability to systematically collect, validate, and maintain a centralized competitive knowledge base on competitor technology, product roadmaps, GTM motions, and pricing strategies.
- Ability to conduct rigorous TEA and market analyses on competitor materials and manufacturing processes to quantify competitive advantage and inform internal cost targets and product performance goals.
- Ability to develop and execute structured analyses such as War Gaming frameworks to anticipate competitor reactions and provide data-driven, proactive recommendations to leadership.
- Ability to translate complex competitive intelligence insights into clear, actionable commercial tools, such as sales battle cards and segment-specific competitive training for the Commercial team.
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $136,000 to $172,000 base pay
Work environment: Onsite work
