Job Description

The Segment Strategy Lead at Sila is responsible for identifying and developing market-entry strategies for innovative target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs, translating technical advantages into profitable business opportunities, and collaborating across teams to drive market growth and product commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prioritize, and develop market-entry strategies for new target segments such as robotics and eVTOLs.
  • Conduct market analysis, including TAM, SAM, SOM, competitive intelligence, and customer research.
  • Develop business cases for new products and markets to secure executive approval and resources.
  • Implement and oversee company-wide pricing frameworks across offerings.
  • Lead industry thought leadership initiatives through technical briefings and strategic events.
  • Create sales playbooks, training, and marketing materials tailored to specific segments.
  • Execute early-stage go-to-market plans to validate segment assumptions and transition opportunities to sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • 12 years industry experience, with demonstrable experience in Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, or Strategy within a B2B environment, preferably working with a manufacturing-heavy, technical product
  • Proven history of using data and market research to build and champion major business cases for new products or market entry
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple, disparate segments simultaneously and connect the dots between technical capability and commercial opportunity
  • A strong bias for action, speed to impact, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams such as Sales, Product, and Executive without direct authority
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to trade shows, conferences, and customer sites (approximately 20% travel)

Benefits & Perks

Compensation/salary range between $169,000 and $213,000
Domestic and international travel approximately 20% of the time
Base pay is part of a competitive Total Rewards package that may include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses
