Job Description
A senior scientist responsible for developing and advancing mathematical and data-driven models to predict the performance, safety, and lifecycle of Li-ion and Li-metal batteries under various conditions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize battery design and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop physical and data-driven simulation models to predict Li-ion and Li-metal battery performance under various conditions.
- Design and conduct experiments to gather parameters for model development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, deploy, test, and maintain battery models.
- Generate electrochemical and thermal data using physical models to support data-driven model establishment.
- Establish standardized processes for physical cell modeling to improve efficiency.
- Document model and algorithm development processes.
Requirements
- Master's degree or above in a relevant field
- More than 5 years of battery related research work experience
- Basic knowledge of cell electrochemistry
- Experience in P2D, thermal, mechanical modeling and simulation of batteries
- Familiar with electrochemical principles, simulation parameter measurement methods, and corresponding equipment
- Familiar with various battery-related models and algorithms
- Experience in using cell model software such as COMSOL, Ansys, PyBaMM, etc.
- Experience in building data-driven models including statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI
- Proficient in code development tools such as Python or Matlab
