The role involves leading technical B2B sales efforts in the new energy and battery materials markets, focusing on promoting AI-powered scientific solutions, building client relationships, and driving market expansion for advanced battery and lab automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical B2B sales efforts within the new energy, lithium battery, and chemical materials markets.
- Identify and secure clients in frontier technology areas, promoting AI-powered smart lab solutions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and strategic partnerships in the energy OEM and chemical industries.
- Translate customer needs into technical solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations to communicate the value of AI solutions in material science workflows.
- Manage negotiations to secure agreements and drive commercial success.
- Maintain understanding of customer battery chemical workflows and communicate the value of AI4Science ecosystem.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Proven track record in technical B2B sales, negotiating and closing enterprise accounts in relevant markets such as new energy, battery, chemical materials.
- Deep technical literacy in battery materials, lithium battery technology, and the broader new energy ecosystem.
- Experience in a career progression that began in a technical role (e.g., Chemical Engineer) and transitioned into a customer technical supporting sales or business development position.
- Deep understanding of customer battery chemical material workflows and the ability to communicate the value of AI4Science ecosystem, including laboratory automation.
- Ability to translate complex customer needs and technical challenges into clear solution requirements for product and engineering teams.
- Capability to develop and deliver technical solution presentations that articulate the value proposition of AI solutions within material science workflows.
- Experience managing the negotiation process, driving agreements to completion, and securing commercial success.
- Experience in market analysis to identify key opportunities and strategic partnerships within the energy OEM market and chemical materials industry.
