Job Description
The Business Development Representative supports SES AI's growth by generating and qualifying leads, coordinating events, and assisting marketing efforts to promote advanced AI-driven battery technologies across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify inbound and outbound leads through various outreach methods.
- Respond to inbound inquiries and route opportunities to appropriate teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM data and track activities and next steps.
- Set up and optimize automated prospecting sequences using AI tools.
- Coordinate meeting schedules and engagement activities at industry conferences and events.
- Represent SES AI at conferences and engage attendees to identify business opportunities.
- Support the development and distribution of marketing materials and drive event registrations.
- Provide market and customer feedback to inform messaging and positioning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as sales, application engineering, customer success, technical support, or field engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills comfortable engaging with technical and business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to use productivity tools with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency in presentation building and PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Travel up to 20-30% primarily for conferences and customer meetings, as needed.
- This role is onsite, with consideration for a hybrid setup for exceptional candidates.
