Job Description
A Product Engineering Manager responsible for leading a team that provides power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers, managing assets such as solar, energy storage, switchgear, controls, and engines to deliver sustainable and reliable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team providing power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers
- Manage a variety of distributed energy resources and microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, switchgear, controls, and reciprocating engines
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of microgrid and power systems projects
Requirements
- Experience leading a team that provides power systems engineering expertise for off-grid and grid-tied microgrids and data centers.
- Experience managing a variety of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and microgrid assets such as solar, energy storage, switchgear, controls, and reciprocating engines.
- Ability to report to the Chief Technology Officer and operate in a hybrid role based out of Ridgewood, NJ, NYC, Los Angeles, or Oakland, CA offices.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, or financing distributed clean energy solutions.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in power systems engineering related to microgrids and distributed energy assets.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, private equity-backed growth business environment.
- Ability to contribute to a long-term impact within the organization and industry.
