Job Description

The Workplace Operations Specialist at Samsara is responsible for delivering exceptional office experience by managing front-desk duties, supporting event planning, coordinating vendor services, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and contractors in the Bengaluru office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as front-of-house lead, greeting guests, distributing badges, and managing onsite events.
  • Provide workplace experience services to employees, contractors, and vendors to enhance wellbeing, productivity, and satisfaction.
  • Support management of vendors, including catering, housekeeping, and office services, and track performance.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as attendance audits, inventory tracking, and ordering office supplies.
  • Coordinate and support in-office events, including logistics, AV arrangements, and catering.
  • Conduct daily floorwalks to ensure a safe, tidy, and functional environment, reporting maintenance or safety issues.
  • Manage postal and shipping requests, ensuring timely processing of employee requests.
  • Partner with Safety, Security, and Resilience teams on badge management, visitor handling, and incident reporting.
  • Respond to emergency situations following established procedures and summon assistance as needed.
  • Support onboarding of new hires and maintain location SOPs, databases, and communication channels.
  • Assist the Workplace Manager with ad hoc requests and provide coverage in their absence.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative, junior office role, or equivalent experience.
  • GCSE High School diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Proficient in GSuite (Google Workspace) applications.
  • Great people skills with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service.
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
