Job Description

The IT Specialist at Samsara is responsible for managing and supporting cloud-based IT systems, including SaaS applications, network infrastructure, and collaboration tools, to enable company growth and operational efficiency in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support SaaS applications such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Configure and oversee cloud-based communication systems, including call routing, IVR, and CRM integration.
  • Deploy and maintain systems that enhance workplace collaboration and productivity.
  • Respond to and resolve escalated IT support tickets in a timely manner.
  • Document IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to IT operations and processes.
  • Ensure the security and stability of core IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Mentor new IT team members and support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in an IT Role.
  • Experience working with SaaS applications such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom.
  • A solid understanding of Okta, including app integrations and automating rules.
  • Deploying and managing systems that foster collaboration and productivity at scale.
  • Planning and integrating the tools and services which run workplaces.
  • Configuring and managing cloud-based telephone systems, including call routing, IVR management, system integration with CRM, and end-user handsets softphones.
  • Knowledge of Apple products such as Macbooks and iPhones.
  • Maintaining an escalated tickets queue and responding to requests in a helpful and timely way.
  • Documenting IT policies and procedures.
  • Seeking opportunities to improve workflows with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Driving core operations that keep the company secure and productive.
  • Mentoring new hires as the organization grows quickly.
  • Residing in Canada (remote position), with the ability to work both east coast and west coast hours.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Tier II escalation support experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) (preferred).
  • Technical Certification (preferred).
