Job Description
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining legal technology solutions, automations, and AI workflows to streamline legal processes and improve efficiency within Samsara's legal team, supporting global legal operations and integrating various enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain legal technology solutions, automations, and AI workflows to improve legal processes.
- Partner with legal, IT, and cross-functional teams to enhance legal workflows, data quality, and productivity.
- Develop and deploy AI-powered tools for legal intake, legal research, contract management, and document analysis.
- Integrate legal systems with enterprise platforms such as Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk, and NetSuite.
- Evaluate and implement emerging AI and automation technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Provide end-user support through documentation, training, and troubleshooting to ensure system adoption.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
- 7 years of relevant experience with building and scaling production-grade enterprise applications and integrations, with strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to independently design and deliver solutions with little or no technical guidance.
- Hands-on experience with large language model (LLM) applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and related AI workflows.
- Proficiency in coding in Python, particularly for scripting, data manipulation, and interacting with APIs.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Proficiency with low-code no-code automation platforms such as Workato, UiPath, Zapier, etc.
- Experience with core enterprise platforms including Google Suite, Slack, Salesforce, Zendesk, NetSuite, and others.
- Experience with AWS and similar cloud platforms, and data warehouses such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity about how technology, especially AI, can improve legal processes.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to translate complex business workflows into scalable, reliable technical solutions, delivering iterative improvements with measurable outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, navigating ambiguity and delivering results.
- Based in Bangalore, India.
- Understanding of enterprise security, privacy, and data governance principles and how they apply to legal systems and workflows.
- Experience with fine-tuning smaller language models or a deep understanding of model evaluation techniques beyond prompt engineering.
