Job Description
A Software Engineer - Salesforce at Samsara is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable Salesforce solutions to enhance business processes and support revenue growth, working collaboratively across multiple teams in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop secure, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform
- Analyze business processes to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics
- Evaluate and optimize existing code, reduce technical debt, and establish a technology roadmap
- Maintain and optimize full lifecycle software development using Salesforce tools and APIs
- Mentor and train junior developers
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of Salesforce development experience with extensive knowledge of Sales Cloud, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, and Force.com tools and applications.
- Experience in Agile development methodology.
- Excellent communication skills and proven success in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience designing test plans, performing unit testing, and writing test classes to ensure proper code coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, able to prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze business processes and system implementation to identify inefficiencies and critical metrics.
- Ability to evaluate existing code, develop plans to reduce technical debt over time, and establish a technology roadmap with system architects.
- Experience in maintaining and optimizing full lifecycle software development using standard configuration, Apex, VisualForce, LWC, APIs, and Force.com applications.
- Ability to mentor, develop, and train Junior developers.
- Experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
- Experience with integrated applications such as Mulesoft (preferred).
- Working experience with Salesforce CPQ (preferred).
- Certifications such as Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, or other relevant Salesforce certifications (preferred).
