Job Description
The Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Counsel at Samsara will lead and manage complex IP litigation matters, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide strategic legal advice and ensure alignment with company goals.
Responsibilities
- •Lead and manage complex IP litigation matters, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic advice on intellectual property risk management and enforcement strategies.
- •Oversee external counsel and ensure litigation aligns with company goals.
- •Negotiate IP licensing and settlement agreements.
- •Assist in creating and improving scalable processes related to IP litigation matters.
- •Advise business stakeholders on litigation risks and issues.
- •Review and advise on litigation-related contractual provisions in commercial agreements.
- •Build strong relationships and work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- •5 years of substantive IP litigation experience.
- •A J.D. degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- •Membership in at least one US state bar.
- •Be a licensed attorney.
- •Excellent judgment, writing, communication, analytical, organization, and negotiation skills.
- •Strong technology interest and aptitude.
- •Ability to explain complicated concepts in simple terms.
- •Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and comfort working in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- •Ability to build, develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships.
- •A high degree of professional integrity, ethics and sound judgment.
