Job Description
The Project Development Manager will lead the development and scaling of advanced graphite technologies for energy and manufacturing applications, overseeing projects from lab experimentation to commercial production within a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Scale breakthrough graphite technology from lab to commercial production
- Develop and oversee project plans for advanced materials manufacturing
- Coordinate research, engineering, and operational activities to ensure project milestones are met
- Take ownership of technical development and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes
- Contribute to the commercialization strategy of graphite technology
Requirements
- Experience in project development management within advanced materials, energy, or manufacturing sectors, with a proven track record of scaling technologies from laboratory experimentation to commercial production.
- Strong technical ownership skills, with the ability to take meaningful ownership in a technically ambitious environment and influence the company's direction.
- Ability to work independently in a supportive and flexible work environment, managing projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Demonstrated experience in scaling breakthrough technologies, specifically in graphite or similar advanced materials, from lab to commercial scale.
- Experience in managing projects related to energy systems, batteries, or manufacturing resilience is preferred.
- Educational background in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related technical field, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's or higher preferred).
- Experience in fast-paced startup or venture-backed environments, with the ability to adapt quickly and execute with rigor and velocity.
- Ability to participate in self-development activities such as research, training, conferences, or certification schemes.
