Job Description

The Lead Quality Control Engineer will oversee and develop quality control processes to ensure the production of high-performance, cost-competitive graphite for energy and manufacturing applications, supporting the company's scaling from lab to commercial production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee quality control processes for graphite production
  • Develop and implement quality assurance standards and procedures
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues in manufacturing
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality
  • Conduct inspections and testing to verify product specifications
  • Maintain documentation related to quality control activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Lead Quality Control Engineer or in a similar senior quality engineering role with at least 5 years of relevant experience in advanced materials or manufacturing industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality control processes, methodologies, and standards applicable to high-performance materials, including experience with laboratory testing and scale-up from lab experimentation to commercial production.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems, including development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS).
  • Experience leading and managing quality control teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of quality processes and contribute to the technical direction of a manufacturing or research environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and leadership.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Physical ability to perform quality inspections and testing as required in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
