The Lead Quality Control Engineer will oversee and develop quality control processes to ensure the production of high-performance, cost-competitive graphite for energy and manufacturing applications, supporting the company's scaling from lab to commercial production.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee quality control processes for graphite production
Develop and implement quality assurance standards and procedures
Identify, analyze, and resolve quality issues in manufacturing
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure product quality
Conduct inspections and testing to verify product specifications
Maintain documentation related to quality control activities
Requirements
Proven experience as a Lead Quality Control Engineer or in a similar senior quality engineering role with at least 5 years of relevant experience in advanced materials or manufacturing industries.
Extensive knowledge of quality control processes, methodologies, and standards applicable to high-performance materials, including experience with laboratory testing and scale-up from lab experimentation to commercial production.
Strong understanding of quality assurance systems, including development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems (QMS).
Experience leading and managing quality control teams, providing technical guidance, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of quality processes and contribute to the technical direction of a manufacturing or research environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and leadership.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Physical ability to perform quality inspections and testing as required in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
