Job Description
A Controls Instrumentation Engineer responsible for developing and integrating control systems, sensors, and digital-to-physical conversion methods for manufacturing machinery that produce large, high-performance fiber-reinforced polymer composites for construction and infrastructure applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain control systems for production machinery, including actuation mechanisms and sensor integration
- Design and implement methods for converting digital signals into physical actions
- Collaborate with chemists, chemical engineers, and mechanical engineers to develop and test new processes
- Optimize control systems to improve manufacturing speed, reliability, and product quality
Requirements
- Experience working as a Controls Instrumentation engineer, specifically working on the nervous system of production machinery including actuation mechanisms and sensor integration.
- Proficiency in methods of converting digital signals to physical actions (digital-to-physical conversion).
- Ability to work closely with chemists, chemical engineers, and mechanical engineers to bring ideas to life, test new processes, and help shape the future of products.
