The Field Technician II at RES is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in the field to support environmental restoration projects, while ensuring safety and high-quality work standards.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment in the field
Lead equipment inspections and ensure safety and maintenance protocols are followed
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
Assess and troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools
Communicate urgent repair needs to supervisors
Train crew members on safety and maintenance procedures
Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance activities
Ensure safety standards are upheld during all field operations
Requirements
Three (3) years of experience in construction equipment repair and maintenance
Valid driver’s license
Trade school certification or manufacturer-specific repair certification
Intermediate proficiency in diagnostic tools and interpreting system errors
Working knowledge of equipment maintenance schedules, fluids, and safety protocols
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Capable of walking over uneven surfaces, climbing on construction equipment, and navigating hills
Comfortable working outdoors and performing tasks at ground level
