The Technical Program Management intern supports project delivery and coordination for Redwood Materials' efforts in creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries, involving planning, execution, and collaboration across engineering and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support the on-time delivery of projects by engaging and aligning stakeholders
Implement and drive project requirements, workflows, and plans while managing timelines, resources, and risks
Organize and support equipment installation and commissioning teams
Document project milestones and deliverables, maintaining up-to-date project plans
Track and manage change requests to project scope and obtain necessary approvals
Requirements
Pursuing a B.S. or advanced degree in an engineering or related discipline
Prior internship or work experience with a leading technology company
Ability to support the on-time delivery of projects while ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project s goals
Ability to partner with TPMs to implement and drive project requirements, workflows and plans while managing timelines, resources, communications, quality, risks, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints, and any other issues that arise
Ability to organize and support in-field equipment installation and commissioning teams, including engineering, construction, operations, maintenance, and external contractors
Ability to identify and document all project milestones and deliverables and keep project plans up to date at all times, including resource allocations, tracking hours, monitoring schedules, milestones, deliverables, updating percentage completion, etc.
Ability to track and manage change requests to scope and obtain approval if necessary
Ability to support the creation of formal project communication plans, key project metrics, and dashboards for project status communication
Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments
Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards
Ability to wear personal protective equipment PPE, including safety gloves, helmets, and eyewear, or additional PPE when required
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone and in person, including listening and speaking
Ability to work in challenging working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes, while protected by PPE, for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a split work environment between office and the production facility
This position is full-time and may be arranged as either a 12-week internship or a 4-8 month Co-op, with the intern responsible for their own housing and transportation arrangements
