Job Description
The Senior Construction Project Engineer will oversee construction activities for Redwood Materials' battery recycling facilities, managing schedules, budgets, safety, and quality to ensure successful project completion in support of sustainable energy storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction scopes, schedules, and resources to ensure project completion on time and within budget
- Coordinate and analyze shop drawings, specifications, and project data for quality and compliance
- Track and report on project schedule, budget, and performance metrics
- Oversee procurement processes, RFIs, submittals, and scope scheduling
- Ensure safety compliance through job hazard analyses and safety meetings
- Plan field layouts, obtain permits, and manage documentation for construction activities
- Supervise subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews
- Review project specifications for quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of construction engineering, scheduling, or design experience is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of cost coding, cost savings, budget management, and other project-related financial implications is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of scheduling processes and industry best practices is required.
- Intermediate interpersonal relationship skills, including the ability to build positive relationships towards a common goal, are required.
- Knowledge of construction equipment techniques, drawing specifications, building materials, and standards applicable to the project is required.
- Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate effectively with others is required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Skill in verbal and written communication is required.
- Proven self-starter and self-motivated to learn and grow knowledge is required.
- Construction engineering experience or knowledge is required.
