Job Description
The Senior Commercial Operations Specialist will serve as a key point of contact for customer operations within the battery recycling and materials business, focusing on supplier onboarding, logistics, and ensuring smooth program operations while maintaining meticulous records and developing process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as key point of contact for customer requests related to supplier onboarding and logistics.
- Maintain meticulous records of documents and interactions using CRM, ERP, and other systems.
- Develop and refine processes for smooth program operations and service levels.
- Create and maintain supplier purchase orders and ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop analytics and software for recycling programs.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures focusing on safety and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred
- 6 years working experience, ideally in sales operations, business planning or logistics
- Experience in the Commodity, Metals mining or recycled, or Battery Materials industry
- Ability to act as key point of contact for fulfilling day-to-day customer requests with regards to supplier onboarding, daily logistics requests, purchase order creation, reporting, compliance requirements
- Proficiency in utilizing CRM, ERP, file sharing system and home-grown portals to keep meticulous records of all documents and interactions
- Ability to develop and refine processes that ensure smooth program operations and excellent service levels for shippers corporate partners
- Experience in creating and maintaining supplier purchase orders and ensuring on-time payments in collaboration with Accounts Payable
- Ability to work cross-functionally to develop analytics and software to support and report on the recycling programs
- Adherence to all policies and procedures while focusing on safety and best practices
