Job Description
The Senior BIM VDC Engineer at Redwood Materials is responsible for creating and managing detailed BIM models to support large-scale infrastructure projects focused on sustainable lithium-ion battery recycling and production, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate digital delivery of project designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide management and design support for detailed and accurate BIM models.
- Set the digital delivery strategy for large, fast-moving projects in collaboration with discipline leads and management.
- Maintain and coordinate large federated building models involving multiple disciplines and external teams.
- Coordinate the work of design teams, trade contractors, and third-party vendors within the BIM environment.
- Integrate layout and tool-line work into the BIM model for planning and conceptual purposes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering or 5-8 years of hands-on experience in related fields.
- Expert knowledge with Revit and Autodesk software.
- Experience working with point clouds and laser scanners.
- Experience in aerial surveying using drones.
- Experience in model automations using Revit API.
- Experience leading a small team for rapid technical solution rollout.
- Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking and BIM parameters.
- The position is full-time.
