The Superintendent’s primary responsibility is to lead and oversee project teams in the field, including in-house installers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with project goals.
Key Responsibilities
Supervises assigned project work and coordinates between engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, budget, and schedule.
Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and production schedules while updating forecasts and adjusting work plans to mitigate project risks and production issues.
Reviews and interprets project specifications to support job setup, construction execution, inspections, and project closeout activities in accordance with company and AHJ requirements.
Manages site work, site access, medium to low voltage electrical work, and BESS installation
Coordinates with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and regulatory agencies to ensure proper equipment, materials, inspections, and construction support are delivered on schedule.
Promotes and enforces strict safety, process control, and documentation standards related to operating equipment, electrical systems, transformers, generators, and overall jobsite operations.
Leads project alignment meetings, documents project activities, supports workforce development and training needs, and performs additional assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
12+ years of construction supervision experience required preferably via General Contrator or Electrical Contractor (especially BESS and Commercial Solar Experience)
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Experience with 3D model reviews, Navisworks, clash reviews preferred. Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Willing to travel or relocate to project site for project duration preferred (projects in IL, MI, TX, & future locations)
