A senior engineering and project management role responsible for leading the design, engineering, and construction of grid-scale energy storage infrastructure, ensuring project execution from concept to completion while coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead infrastructure and tool installation projects from conceptualization to construction and production.
Coordinate project schedules, funding, and resource requirements with procurement and construction teams.
Oversee permitting, construction documentation, and transmittals to ensure compliance and progress.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
Support feasibility studies, value engineering, and options analysis for energy storage systems projects.
Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment.
Ensure design and engineering efforts adhere to relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, or demonstrate exceptional ability in the electrical engineering field through equivalent experience
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or project management, with experience managing multi-disciplinary scopes within A E or Design Engineering firms
Strong working knowledge of electrical system design, interconnection requirements, and utility-scale project execution
Deep understanding of grid-scale energy storage technologies and balance-of-plant equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, HVAC, and fire suppression systems
Knowledge of battery systems, electrical protection, power conversion, medium and high voltage systems, communication systems, and control systems
Familiarity with relevant standards and codes including UL 9540, UL 1973, UL 1741, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, IEC
Experience managing and leading greenfield and brownfield infrastructure and tool install projects through conceptualization, feasibility, funding, design, IFC, change management, and engineering services during construction
Ability to manage permitting and construction documents through transmittal to permitting, construction, and other parties
Ability to own design funding and schedule for all assigned projects and coordinate key project schedule requirements with procurement and construction partners
Experience identifying project resource requirements, highlighting gaps and constraints, and influencing cross-functional teams outside of direct reporting lines
Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure program alignment
Knowledge of lean construction principles and fully integrated design using Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Ability to support and lead feasibility studies, value engineering efforts, and options analysis
Understanding of local codes and regulations related to electrical installations and electricity distribution systems
Experience with commercial or industrial electrical installations and electricity distribution systems
Project management and/or EPC experience in managing multi-disciplinary scopes
Ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel with excellent attention to detail and quality decision-making

Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external parties
