The Product Manager, Engineering Tools at Redwood Materials is responsible for leading the development and management of CAD and PLM systems, ensuring seamless data flow across engineering, manufacturing, and business functions to support company growth and product development.
Key Responsibilities
Define and drive the roadmap for engineering tools, including CAD and PLM systems
Manage end-to-end product lifecycle of engineering tools, from discovery to release
Administer, configure, and optimize PLM infrastructure and system integrations
Act as primary point of contact with implementation partners, overseeing program plans and rollouts
Ensure engineering releases are accurately reflected in downstream systems affecting manufacturing and supply chain
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions
Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate system performance and data integrity
Requirements
10 years of experience in Product Management or equivalent roles, specifically focused on Engineering Tools CAD, PLM
Proven track record delivering and executing roadmaps for PLM platforms such as NX, Teamcenter, 3DX, Arena, Agile, etc.
Deep understanding of engineering release processes and their implications on supply chain, manufacturing, and finance accounting
Strong understanding of the differences in CAD file formats with the ability to audit, repair, and validate migrated models to ensure dimensional accuracy and functionality
Strong experience managing PLM infrastructure and integrations across business systems including ERP, MES, and WMS
Solid understanding of Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) structures, including how CAD data flows into both
Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale PLM implementations and manage vendor relationships and program execution
Excellent communication skills and strong systems thinking and analytical skills to identify and solve complex cross-functional problems
Physical ability to sit, stand, crawl, crouch, walk, and climb a ladder as needed
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Ability to use a computer mouse and keyboard, look at a computer monitor, and speak and hear verbal communication
Willingness to work mostly in an office environment with occasional venture into hazardous industrial construction areas with heavy machinery and potential chemical or metal temperature exposure, outdoor construction areas with heavy machinery and dust, and participate in an on-call support rotation for after-hours support
Willingness to undertake occasional domestic and international travel
