The Material Flow Specialist at Redwood Materials supports battery sorting operations by handling, moving, and sorting batteries and materials in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment, ensuring smooth production and shipment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Handle, move, and sort batteries and packaging using forklifts and material-handling equipment
Operate and support automated sorting equipment by feeding materials, monitoring performance, and making routine adjustments
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
Handle, move, and sort batteries and associated packaging using forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
Operate and support automated sorting equipment by feeding materials, monitoring performance, making routine adjustments, and escalating issues as needed.
Ability to comply with all safety and PPE requirements, including wearing a fitted respirator for the full shift.
Complete a respiratory fit test and medical evaluation to wear a fitted respirator for the full shift.
Stand for extended periods, more than 80% of the shift.
Climb stairs and ladders and work at heights.
Stoop, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery.
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Work in indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, and varying temperatures, including heat and cold.
This is a full-time position with shifts Monday-Friday Days, with possible work on nights, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.
