The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and supporting daily warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and related programs to ensure inventory accuracy.
Coordinate task distribution in partnership with Material Flow, Operations, and IC leadership.
Train, guide, and support material handlers across receiving, inventory control, and data-gathering activities.
Monitor WMS data and transactions; generate reports to support operational and management decision-making.
Establish, model, and maintain quality control standards and inventory process compliance.
Investigate inventory variances, conduct root cause analysis, and document findings for operational improvement.
Compile, verify, and report inventory metrics. Support daily / weekly reporting of activities and trends.
Oversee raw material documentation flow, certificate creation, and general inventory record integrity.
Perform physical material-handling tasks as needed and maintain a clean, organized work environment, along with other assigned duties. May include occasional forklift driving to enable core duties.
Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety, particularly related to material handling equipment.
Manage document retention processes.
