The HR Operations Program Manager at Redwood Materials is responsible for developing and managing scalable, technology-enabled HR processes, including leave programs, workers' compensation, and onboarding, to improve operational efficiency and support company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and administer all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, parental leave, disability, and other company-sponsored leaves.
Oversee the administration of the Workers' Compensation program.
Support employment-based immigration processes such as H-1B, PERM, and green card sponsorships.
Develop scalable processes and documentation for HR programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to implement and adopt HR programs and systems.
Serve as the primary contact for project-related inquiries, escalating issues as needed.
Improve and streamline HR workflows, onboarding processes, and HR ticketing systems.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in human resources or field of study relevant to the job.
Six (6) years of relevant work experience in HR and/or project management.
Three (3) years of experience managing Leaves of Absence (LOAs) or building leaves, workers' compensation processes.
Knowledge of HR and/or project management principles and practices.
Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and immigration compliance requirements.
Experience supporting employment-based immigration programs such as H-1B, PERM, green card sponsorships, and internal transfers.
Experience in California, Nevada, and South Carolina preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Deep proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Project Management tools (such as Smartsheet), and HCM systems (Workday preferred).
Ability to build scalable, technology-enabled processes and documentation for HR programs.
Ability to lead administration of all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, state-specific leaves, parental leave, disability, and company-sponsored leave policies.
Ability to lead administration of Workers' Compensation program.
Ability to support employment-based immigration programs and internal transfers.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with HR teams and other departments such as IT and Finance to ensure successful program implementation and adoption.
Ability to serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries, escalating issues as necessary to ensure project delivery.
Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
Ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, including listening and speaking.
Availability to work extended hours as needed (up to 10% of the time).
Willingness to travel occasionally or frequently for meetings, site visits, or events.
