An Accounting Intern at Redwood Materials will assist with various accounting functions such as financial statement analysis, fixed asset management, cost tracking, and contract analysis, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on energy storage and battery material production.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports
Support the management and tracking of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
Maintain and reconcile product cost data to ensure inventory valuation accuracy and COGS reporting
Participate in accounting and financial reporting for construction projects and capital expenditures
Assist in ASC 606 revenue recognition analysis and contract documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic record and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
Motivated and detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Full-time availability for the internship during Summer 2026
The internship is located in the Carson City, Nevada area, and interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation arrangements
