Job Description
The Alternative Construction Methods Specialist serves as a technical advisor to the U.S. Air Force Civil Engineers, promoting innovative construction delivery methods to improve infrastructure development speed and cost-efficiency while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Headquarters Air Force Civil Engineers and Enterprise Partner Organizations.
- Drive the adoption of innovative construction delivery methods such as progressive design-build, OTA, and CSO.
- Advance MILCON program development and execution through innovative construction methods.
- Ensure compliance with DoD policy and design standards in construction projects.
- Improve infrastructure delivery speed and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to Headquarters Air Force Civil Engineers and Enterprise Partner Organizations SAF IE, AFIMSC, AFCEC.
- Drive the adoption of innovative construction delivery methods, including progressive design-build (PDB), Other Transactional Authorities (OTA), and Commercial Solutions Openings (CSO).
- Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) policy and design standards.
- Support the advancement of MILCON program development and execution through innovative construction methods.
- Apply knowledge of alternative construction methods to improve infrastructure delivery speed and cost-effectiveness.
