A Technical Services Engineer - Portworx is responsible for supporting large-scale cloud-native deployments by troubleshooting complex issues in Kubernetes and cloud environments, ensuring high availability, and collaborating with engineering teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Optimize cloud-native resilience by diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across Kubernetes, OpenShift, and cloud providers
Drive proactive problem resolution through log and telemetry analysis to prevent recurring outages
Manage the full lifecycle of technical support cases, providing guidance during critical production phases and proofs of concept
Translate technical resolutions into accessible documentation and knowledge base articles to support incident response and support teams
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and or related technical experience.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in customer-facing, technical support work.
Deep technical proficiency in managing and troubleshooting container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or VMware Tanzu.
Experience with cloud infrastructure providers including AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud.
Proven ability to triage and resolve sophisticated software stack issues, utilizing debugging tools and collaborating with engineering teams to navigate high-pressure escalations.
Strong fluency in English with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Readiness to participate in shift rotations and on-call schedules to support a global customer base.
Self-motivated drive to take ownership of customer outcomes.
Ability to work from the North Carolina office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
