This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based storage solutions on AWS and Azure, focusing on improving performance, resiliency, and cost efficiency, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative enterprise storage products.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and review new features in the Everpure Cloud Dedicated data path in C and/or Python for AWS and Azure.
Improve resiliency, performance, and cost efficiency of the cloud storage stack, including failover, high availability, capacity expansion, and cloud-specific optimizations.
Participate in triage, analyze failures, debug issues, and drive fixes in CI pipelines, automated tests, and testbeds.
Lead or co-lead investigations of product issues in customer environments, from escalation to root cause analysis and long-term solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data plane, control plane, QE, support, product management, and solution architects to align on design, rollout, and operational practices.
Contribute to and maintain technical documentation and runbooks for operational confidence.
Requirements
Solid basis in software engineering foundation building and maintaining backend or system level components in production.
Strong programming skills in C or Python and a willingness to pick up new languages, tools, and frameworks as needed.
End to end ownership mindset from design and implementation through tests, CI pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and iterative hardening in production.
Strong debugging and problem solving skills, including working with complex logs, CI failures, and issues that cross service boundaries, APIs, and cloud components.
Curiosity and a growth mindset to understand how things really work in storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure, and the ability to share that knowledge with others.
Collaborative way of working with the ability to communicate clearly, give and receive feedback well, and work effectively with distributed teams in Prague, US, and cross-functional partners.
Experience building or operating products in the public cloud (Azure, AWS, or GCP), especially around reliability, performance, or cost optimization.
Willingness to work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
