Job Description
This role involves leading the development and scaling of innovative data storage infrastructure, focusing on architecting high-availability distributed systems, managing engineering teams, and driving technical strategy for multi-cloud data services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of building and scaling engineering teams, including hiring, onboarding, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Direct the technical strategy for core Fusion components such as cloud mobility and high-availability systems to support massive scale and multi-cloud resilience.
- Execute high-impact roadmaps by optimizing agile workflows, managing technical debt, and ensuring delivery of high-quality, enterprise-grade releases.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between Product Management and Engineering, translating customer needs into architectural requirements and engineering priorities.
- Mentor staff-level engineers, guide career development, and set standards for modern software development practices.
- Architect and ship large-scale enterprise software within high-availability distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, or storage protocols.
- Manage and grow software engineering teams across organizational levels and scales.
- Implement lean engineering processes to balance rapid feature development with system stability and security.
- Communicate complex technical trade-offs and project status effectively to executive leadership while maintaining close involvement with engineering teams.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in architecting and shipping large-scale enterprise software, specifically within high-availability distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, or storage protocols.
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing software engineering teams, with the ability to navigate varying levels of organizational complexity and scale appropriate to the level of the role.
- Expert-level command of delivery management, with the ability to implement lean engineering processes that balance rapid feature velocity with system stability and security.
- Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs and project health to executive leadership while maintaining a deep, hands-on connection to the engineering team’s daily challenges.
- Work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.

Annual base salary range of $193,000 to $317,000 USD
