Job Description
A Systems Engineer in Singapore responsible for supporting sales efforts by providing technical expertise on storage solutions, developing customer relationships, and creating innovative technical proposals to drive revenue and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to promote and adopt Pure Storage solutions with prospects and existing customers.
- Understand customer business goals and propose tailored technology solutions from the Pure portfolio and ecosystem.
- Collaborate with sales teams, partners, and marketing to develop strategies that drive revenue growth and new business.
- Conduct evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations to demonstrate product capabilities.
- Create and deliver technical presentations and responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs to secure technical wins.
- Translate customer requirements into innovative storage solutions to support their growth.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and product positioning to support thought leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 or more years of relevant enterprise pre-sales experience supporting enterprise and commercial customers in Singapore, with experience in technology, design, and communications.
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design, and implementation of multi-tiered client-server and web-based computing solutions.
- Experience supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.
- Proven ability to support the sales of storage solutions including storage architectures such as FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, and familiarity with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
- Experience in contributing to or leading responses to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Strong knowledge of current and emerging storage architectures and protocols including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN, Linux, NFS, and Linux distributed network environments.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with installation and configuration of distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystems architecture, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
- Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes (k8s), and microservices architectures.
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to Cloud Native architecture, On-Premises, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.
- Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with modern web architecture including LAMP stack, scale-out vs scale-up architectures, AWS well-architected framework, and microservices architecture.
- Curiosity and passion for technology, with the ability to explain and demonstrate new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
- Ability to work primarily in an in-office environment at the Singapore office, in compliance with company policies.
- Familiarity with storage-intensive applications and their requirements, such as structured databases like SQL and Oracle, is highly desirable.
