Job Description

This role involves end-to-end ownership and management of the z OS platform, including system programming, configuration, security, and troubleshooting, to support data intelligence solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable mainframe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Own and maintain the z OS platform, including installation, configuration, and SMP E maintenance
Build and standardize environments using ADCD and z PDT across development, QA, and UAT
Manage core subsystems such as Db2 for z OS, IMS, storage DASD, datasets, and network services
Administer system components including security using RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2
Design and execute backup, restore, and recovery processes
Troubleshoot system and environment-level issues

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with z OS system programming and SMP E.
Experience working with ADCD and z PDT environments.
Expertise in datasets VSAM, QSAM, PS E, PDS E, UNIX, and DASD storage management.
Experience with External Security Managers RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2.
Practical experience with Db2 for z OS and IMS.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across system and subsystem layers.
Ability to work cross-functionally with developers and customers to support platform usage and issue resolution.
Own and maintain the z OS platform, including installation, configuration, and SMP E maintenance to ensure availability and integrity.
Build and standardize environments using ADCD and z PDT across DEV, QA, and UAT environments.
Manage core subsystems including Db2 for z OS, IMS, storage DASD, datasets, and network services such as TCP IP, VTAM, FTP, SSH.
Design and manage security using RACF, Top Secret, or ACF2, ensuring proper access control and compliance.
Own catalog and alias management, maintaining consistency and resolving allocation and resolution issues.
Design and execute backup, restore, and recovery processes, and troubleshoot system and environment-level issues.
Work from the Prague office in compliance with company policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
