Drive the evolution of sustainable hardware infrastructure as an advanced Product Engineer in Everpure's Reverse and Remanufacturing Operations (RRO). In this high-impact position, you will lead the technical strategy to scale the refurbishment, qualification, and redeployment of enterprise-grade storage systems and controllers. Partnering closely with Hardware Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and global contract manufacturing leaders, you will convert complex product requirements into robust manufacturing processes that directly maximize hardware yield, lower total cost of ownership, and advance Everpure’s circular economy initiatives.
Lead End-to-End RRO Workstreams & Product Flows: Own complex product refurbishment workstreams from initial requirement definitions through factory release, establishing baseline specifications, refurbishment BOMs, configuration controls, and seamless PLM/ERP inventory traceability.
Drive Global Factory Readiness & Site Validation: Partner with contract manufacturers to establish resilient production lines—overseeing capacity planning, tooling, test infrastructure, First Article Inspections (FAI/FAIR), and Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI) to guarantee rapid, high-yield site bring-up.
Optimize Yield and Operational KPIs: Collaborate with Quality and Test Engineering to analyze failure modes, spearhead Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), and continuously improve First Pass Yield (FPY), DPPM, and cycle times across active hardware programs.
Bridge Hardware Engineering and Operations: Serve as the central technical authority connecting Hardware, Quality, Supply Chain, and external suppliers—proactively identifying technical risks, aligning dependencies, and executing recovery plans to maintain supply continuity.
Requirements
Hardware & Systems Engineering Experience: Deep technical foundation in enterprise hardware architecture (data center servers, enterprise storage systems, flash arrays, controllers, or high-density electromechanical platforms), with proven expertise balancing compute, power, thermal, and serviceability constraints.
Manufacturing & Process Engineering Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to author manufacturing specifications, build complex BOMs, implement process controls, and leverage PLM/ERP tools (such as Agile, SAP, NetSuite, ETQ, or Jira) for seamless configuration management.
Advanced Failure Analysis & Problem Solving: Expertise in diagnosing hardware defects, performing root-cause investigations, and implementing corrective action plans to maximize yield across complex integration and assembly environments.
Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
